Our Impact
Real results, funded by our donors
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Fair Start Uganda is able to fund projects that help give children in Buhoma, Uganda a fair start in life. Here's some of the real-world impact those donations have created.
In Work
Our current "Shower Bwindi with Love" campaign is raising funds to build a facility with separate showers and laundry areas for boys and girls at Bwindi Children Empowerment Charity. The plans shown here have been approved by the local district. Once we have raised the money needed to proceed, construction will take 4–6 weeks. We will then post photos of the completed facility here. To learn more or make a donation, please visit our homepage.
Completed
Donors funded the construction of a new latrine facility for the children at Bwindi Children Empowerment Charity in Buhoma, Uganda, through our "Give a Crap for Bwindi" campaign. Beyond giving the children a better place to "go," the build put money into the local economy by using local labor and materials.
Completed
Thank you to our donors for funding new metal bed frames and bedding, transforming an extra room at Bwindi Children Empowerment Charity in Buhoma, Uganda, into a bedroom for 12 more children who need a safe place to call home.
